Common Questions
Is the academy accredited?
Yes. Melawati Juniors FA holds Bronze accreditation under the FAM SupaRimau Grassroots Charter, awarded by the Football Association of Malaysia. The certificate is shown on the Why MJFA page.
Are your coaches qualified?
Yes. Our coaches hold FAM coaching licences, including the FAM Grassroots Coaching Course and the AFC 'D' Coaching Certificate, and they coach to the FAM module. All our coaches are non-smokers.
What age groups do you accept?
We accept boys and girls from Under 6 through Under 16.
Do you accept beginners with no experience?
Yes. Our Under 6 and Under 8 groups are built for children who are new to football, starting with basic coordination and first touches.
Can my child try a session before joining?
Yes. A trial session is RM45 for one 1.5-hour session, with no membership fee.
Which days do you train?
We train on Saturdays and Sundays. Saturday sessions use the Blue Red kit and Sunday sessions use the Black Green kit.
How much does it cost to join Melawati Juniors FA?
Packages start at RM114 for four sessions a month (Fun Day). Bronze, our most popular package, is RM144 for eight sessions a month. Silver is RM224 for 16 sessions over two months, Gold is RM754 for 58 sessions over eight months, and Diamond is RM984 for 82 sessions over 11 months. New members joining on Silver, Bronze or Fun Day also pay a one-time membership fee of RM169.
How do I pay?
Payment is by bank transfer, then send us the receipt on WhatsApp. Each kind of payment goes to a different account, all under MJFA Ventures: registration and membership to Bank Muamalat, monthly fees to Bank Islam, and merchandise to Maybank. The exact account details are shown after you submit a form.
What is the annual membership renewal?
Membership renewal is RM99 for 12 months and includes a new Blue Red jersey, a shoe bag and MJFA merchandise, all free.
Are fees refundable?
No. All fees are final, non-refundable and non-transferable.
What kit does my child need?
A full match kit is RM115, or RM199 for two full sets (Match Kits plus Black Green), saving RM31. A jersey and shorts without socks is RM99, and the Blue Red Official Saturday jersey alone is RM44. Goalkeeper sets are RM115 and socks are RM24.90 a pair. Name and number printing is free, subject to availability.
Do you sell kit for parents?
Yes. A parents jersey is RM57.
Where is the training ground?
We train at seven grounds around Taman Melawati and Wangsa Maju. They are all listed on the training schedule page, and the one your child's session uses is confirmed each week.
Which areas do you serve?
We welcome families from Taman Melawati, Wangsa Maju, Setapak, Ampang and Setiawangsa. Sessions are held at fields around Taman Melawati, a short drive from the Melati, Sri Rampai and Wangsa Maju LRT stations.
How do I register my child?
Complete the join form on this site, choose a package, then transfer the fee and send the receipt on WhatsApp. You can also message us on WhatsApp at +60 13-363 1567 if you have questions first.
